Maggie Taylor
Maggie Taylor is really cool digital artist. Since everyone's on this Alice in Wonderland trip, I thought her artwork is a refreshing take on the trippy dippy world. Her website is actually super cool. Check it out here.
Alice who?
With an abundance of Alice around I thought I might join the crowd, jump on the bandwagon as the kids say. Here are some pretty and slightly strange images courtesy of the thinking tank
Tara Donovan
Tara Donovan makes some of the most beautiful and interesting sculptures out of the most mundane objects. Styrofoam Cups, Buttuns, pencils, receipt paper, its mind blowing.Check out her work here.
Nicolas Provost
Nicolas Provost is another really great visual artist and filmmaker. "His work is a reflection on the grammar of cinema and the relation between visual art and the cinematic experience." His portfolio is a mix of original work and deconstructed found footage from classic films including Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon and Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo . Here are some stills from his works: Gravity, Suspension, Plot Point, and Papillon D'amour. You can see Papillon D'amour here and his website here.

Epitomy of Cool
Genius
Bernard Herrmann is probably one of the most famous composers for film of all time. He's written scores for Martin Scorcese, Orson Welles and Alfred Hitchcock to name a few. I recently rewatched Psycho over my spring break. Not so much as watch, as listen as I was also attempting to clean my room, write a script and study for an exam simultaneously. Naturally I noticed how absolutely amazing the score to Psycho is. This put me into a little Hitchcock craze and after watching Vertigo as well, I've grown to seriously appreciate the major role a film's score plays. Listen to the theme from Psycho here.
